San Diego Triplet Moms in Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk

A few of us from More the Merrier formed a team that will participate in the San Diego Breast Cancer 3-Day walk November 20-22, 2009.

We will be walking sixty (60) miles, over three days, sleeping in tents, and raising $2,300.00 a piece for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. We are proud to be walking with fellow triplet moms for such an important cause. We are "The More The Merrier, Walkers for Knockers."

If you'd like to join our team, here's our team link. After all, the more, the merrier!

Very cool!

I see how the money raised through Komen's events helps women directly in San Diego every day.
There is a state program, called Cancer Detection Programs: Every Woman Counts, that provides free breast cancer screening for women 40 and older who have little or no insurance and are low income. The great thing about Komen, is that it distributes a large amount of grant money locally to agencies that pay for breast diagnostic services for women under 40 who have a breast problem, and don't have coverage or qualify for any other programs. They also fund many other programs that directly benefit women with education, outreach and special assistance programs right here in San Diego.

I love being able to help women who contact me by letting them know that there are resources available, many in part due to Komen.
Just wanted to say thank you so much for dedicating your time and efforts.
